Hey guys, just a quick post on a mod I just completed. I got tired of opening the shell whenever I wanted to access the iOSD mini by its USB port, so I put a right angle micro USB male to female 30cm extension on the outside. Here's a few pics of the process and completed job:

So that's it. After opening the shell and deciding on placement, it only took about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Now it's easy to connect to the iOSD Assistant software to make changes or check for updates.

I guess it works but I did not see the need to access the iosdmini that often. The firmware updates are rare.

But there are a few settings that can be changed and configured that this would make easier to do were as if having to open the shell would be to much or a pain to bother with if some one wanted to just make a small change here and there.

That was exactly the reason I did the mod. I knew there would be few if any updates. It was to be able to make small adjustments as needed. I've used it twice so far and will probably adjust the distance warning again later.

Thanks jumanoc. Here's a link to the vTx mount shelf: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J22KZEI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It appears to be high quality and came really quickly. Good luck with your FPV experience...
