iosd mini....black video, no video.......

OK, I installed the iosd mini tonight and I was getting no signal. My friend added a jumper to the cable that goes to the iosd mini and now I do have FVP. By jumper, he used a small piece of wire and connected it to 2 of the ends of the wire that goes to the iosd. I just can't get it to work with the iosd in the mix. I updated the firmware and still no joy. I will plug it in again tomorrow and see if there are other updates. Has anyone else experienced this? Using a Fatshark 600mW 5.8GHz TX and a black pearl monitor with the Flysight 5.8GHz Circular Polarized Antenna (TX & RX).

The light flashes green and is not solid. Does that matter at all?

I have a mac computer. My buddy had a windows computer and he tried to update the firmware and it appeared he did, but the light still flashes green. I've tried to figure out how to do this on my MAC and it appears that there is no MAC software to update this? Is that true? If so, what are my options?
