Here is my question. I import my files from my sd card to iMovie. I edit and get everything the way I want it. Playback looks awesome on my computer. When I send it to Facebook or anywhere else it is grainy. What am I doing wrong?

It is probably getting downgraded on the sites you post to. Try to post it to Vimeo and be sure to click the HD when replaying.

Instead of uploading direct from iMovie, export it as a file to your computer and then upload it to the site(s) of your choice. To save time and space, a 720p is usually good enough.

Just figured this out the other day. After uploading an HD vid from my phone to Facebook, playback was low quality. In the FB settings, you can choose to upload in HD. Mine was not set to HD. Hope that helps.
