What's the fix??? Some of us (the newbies) are very worried

Hani and Burlbark think it's a heavier gauge stranded wire from motor to ESC. Nobody knows for sure yet, but their conclusion certainly seems logical. It will be interesting to see what DJI does about this. Personally, I'm going to keep flying. I figure I have a year for my faulty wiring, if that is the problem, to declare itself or for DJI to provide me with a free fix or replacement.

For their comeback on this.

jflyer3 said:Wow, this thread scared me enough to open up my P2 H3-3D V2.0 and examine the wires and solder joints. Everything looks good-- no conformal coating peeling, no wire shroud delamination, no burn marks. I've gone just over 20 flights. Knock on wood.
It's cutting the wire at the base of the motor casePmcdn said:Hani: just to be clear, do you believe cutting out the wire between the motor and the board and replacing it with a heavier gauge wire should solve this problem, or do you believe the motor board is also the problem?
Dr. Turbo is not the only one with a phd.cougar said:Wow, must say some people here are quite remarkable, in how they have succeeded in solving a problem that Dr. Turbo (that designs these system for DJI) and has a PHD was not able to solve.
Congratulations.

And bringing heavier stranded wire to the esc.
Vibration will cause a solid wire to break in the
Shaking environment like inside the phantom.
2nd issue is overheating and melting the isolation
And shorting out.
With a heavier gauge wire like Dji used to install
On previous versions of phantoms and motors
It wasn't just a heavier gauge wire but also a stranded
Wire which will not break under these circumstances.
We've seen enough evidence already from a lot
Of new v3 phantom owners with the same issue
And not to mention that a major retailer just posted
About selling thousands of v2 phantoms not having this
Issue and within first 100 v3 sold P2s they already had
About 20 complaints about wire isolation melting and esc
Burning out problem.
Eventually I hope Dji will step forward and take the
Responsibility about this.
I already notified them about it so they know about the issue.
Now it's just a matter of time to see if they do anything
To resolve this issue. Because it is an issue.
