I have had my P3A for a while now, probably over a year, and I have never thought to check for cracks, even though it crashed shortly after I got it. ( It only fell about about 15 feet).

Today I checked and found what may be a crack. I need to keep an eye on it.

I also found this, it looks like the 2 halves of the shell weren't put together exactly right...

Time to start checking after every flight or 2....

Yeah, I found stress cracks under one of the motors. I'm gonna see if dji will fix it for free. It's only 6 months old. Hopefully it falls under warranty.

Those are def (in my opinion cracks) on the arms ONLY. I have had 2 super super small- smaller than yours - hairline cracks on 2 of my arms ever since I can remember ( I have the new motor style) and I usually check them after every other flight or so.. So far to my surprise I have not seen any new ones.. And I have not noticed the original "lines" "cracks" getting any bigger.. So either they are cracks and they just arnt getting any worse.. Or they arnt cracks and could possibly just be the way the plastic looked after the molding process.

Either way I would suggest you check them after each flight to make sure they arnt getting worse.. If they are, then look for a way to fix it with glue/apoxy.. Or look around online for the arm plates which add extra strength to the motor mount/ plastic arm end.

Now your last picture - this isn't a crack.. All that happpend is your body/shell popped out.. That upper part is suppose to be snapped down into the lower part of the body..

This prolly happens when you crashed and maybe you never noticed it.. The phantom body is very thin plastic and doesn't take much to flex it and pop it back in.. If you can't apply enough pressure with your fingers to pop the upper piece back in; then I would suggest unscrewing a few of the body screws near that location and once the pressure is relieved then it should snap back into place.

I had to do this once to my p3a as well.

The seams separate easily on crashes. Also when breaking loose the clips holding the body halves together, you can easily deform the seams. I made the mistake of putting a credit card in the wrong way to break it loose to replace a motor and formed a slight deformation in the seam. I wouldn't worry too much about it but you might be able to fix it if you happen to need to open her up for other reasons.

Thanks for the replies! Im not too concerned with the shell seam, but the crack will have to be monitored closely!
