Hey all. Today I just let my guard down and let the thing fly. I went to our famous sunshine skyway bridge and headed over the Gulf of Mexico towards St. Petersburg beach. All over water. And a few small uninhabited islands. I'm using stock remote. No mods or not even the windsurfer. As I have not received it yet. I'm so curious what I will get with dbs or windsurfer. Also I did not lose signal. It was about 3 lines still. I just got scared and turned it around as I could not see it. I was about 300 in altitude. Flight logs here. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Pretty sure that is a satellite photo with his flight path marked on it, not the actual drone cam footage.

This morning was windy. But you're right. Wind was only 8mph in St Pete.

Tony - now imagine letting it go a little further - and then letting RTH kick in. It works great, but I bet your blood pressure will go up during those few minutes!

I was already getting nervous after not actually seeing it for about 8 mins. I did see the fpv but that is not the same. The actual return trip video is below.

Good work tony, I am still at 100m and at that distance I get scared......

I just have visions of my old brushed xinxun ufo loosing signal and crashing...

Ooh. Believe me at that distance. I was thinking. This thing is completely out of sight. Blended in with the sky. No way could I see it. The sky was perfectly blue. I looked and looked. Nothing. But video feed was perfect the entire way. So I had confidence.

Good news, technically you only got a max distance of 3864! That means you get to go out flying again to get over 4k! Very nice by the way, my max is only at 2500, I need to go out again too.
