I figured out my mistakes and got my Phantom 2 off the ground Finally.
1) I was thinking that I needed a STEADY green light to be in GPS mode but found out flashing was ok.
2) I was also now waiting long enough to get to the flashing green lights.
Well after I got past that I advanced the throttle and up she went. I know I need to recalibrate the compass I did that INSIDE last night. So my hover had a bit of drift.
I have to admit the Phantom is SO much better that the Blade 350 I sold.
Thanks for all the tips and help guys :D

Better calibrate that compass outdoors at the place where you intend to fly it. See the post about how often to recalibrate.

I did the compass dance and used 1 full battery through the Phantom.
Hovered and flew like a dream..So So much fun... :D

I Agree with the previous post, Calibrate compass outdoors where you intend to fly from. Enjoy !
