If I connect the copter to the remote and it doesn't say I have to update , that means I'm ok ? I had same problem as 1st poster and I had long beep stay on and red light on

If it is not asking for updates and everything shows normal in the Status Screen-- which is the screen that pops up when the Phantom connects-- you should be good to go,
