Did it not come with a Video-out cable to plug into it?

Pretty simple, I just took cable that DJI includes with the Zenmuse, soldered yellow (video signal) to the yellow of my video transmitter and black (ground) to the black of my video transmitter.

I believe you are talking about the ImmersionRC transmitter. My dealer soldered a cable for me, but that did not work. Here is how to do it: Neglect the red wire (12V) and the black wire (ground) coming from the open cable from the GCU. Just take the yellow cable and connect it to the five-pole cable (spare) that came with the immersion rc. Then take the power from where you took it before (e.g. aux power in the Phantom) Do not try to power your fpv from the gcu, because that doesnt work for some reason. Just use *only* the yellow cable from the GCU - that is the trick!
