Hover App Help Needed

There is an arcane and mysterious term in my Hover app that is not explained anywhere. (help is not helpful)

What is the Kp-Index???

Is it so obvious that the entire world understands it except me?

The kp index is a scale that rates geomagnetic activity. Solar flares and solar storms can interfere with the electronics that provide GPS data to your bird. The higher the index number, the more risky it is to fly.
