When home point recorded which one it does? there is 2 button for home point which one is recommended

The HOME POINT is automatically recorded as you get GPS signal. The other option is to UPDATE HOME POINT when you want the home point somewhere else than where you launched.

When you power up your Phantom and it's getting ready to fly, the home point will be marked at your Phantom's current location (the takeoff point). After taking off, you can manually reset the home point from the top of the "Main Controller Settings" section of DJI GO. You'll see the option to set the home point to your Phantom's current location (this works on all devices) or to your mobile device's current location (if it has a GPS receiver).

can i reset this while the P4 is flying far away or it does need to be recorded before take off

You can manually reset the home point at anytime as long as your Phantom is connected to 6+ satellites or your mobile device has a good GPS connection (even if not recorded at takeoff).
