May not have super cool later cut foam, but for $60 ($20 for water proof case, $40 for the foam), I am happy

I bought a manufactured one for mine and did not use it that much. Then I added all the antennas for longer distance and now will not fit. Thinking about doing some mods on it but, well, maybe.
As for self built, if it works that is what counts. Cost a lot less also.

I also made a case for the Phantom..
it's made of wood.. so it is a little heavy, but i use it all the times i'm going to play with the Phantom.

i painted it last week.. before it was a boring wooden chest.

This is how the Phantom fits in the case.

The 7 inch lcd screen for the FPV i also build in in the case.

Looks great If you are happy, that is all that matters!

Nice job. I bought a metal case with the foam already cut, but it creates a problem if you want to swap out landing gears, I found that one out the hard way! I probably could have cut some foam, but I hated to mess with it. it does have a lot of extra compartments; I just hope it is enough for FPV equipment. If not, I may go your route!

And, welcome to the forum! If I've already welcomed you, I just wanted to do it again!
