Hi All. This will review will mainly be of interest to UK Phantom owners. I recently purchased a case which to all intents and purposes is as good as any other hard case which costs several times more. See my pictures. I purchased on ebay. It is a "trifibre" hard case. It is supplied with foam that you cut to shape. This is quite easy to do with a stanley knife and the result can be seen in the pics. You could stand on this case it is so strong and it only cost £58 including next day delivery! How others can justify charging 100's for their cases is beyond me!

Can you post a link to the case? I'm not in the UK, but I would like some more info so I can see if it's available State side

Just put "trifibre 5014 case" into Google or ebay. Cheers

Take a look at the one I posted minutes ago for $46.99. Perfect size and just a big as it has to be and not an inch more. DSC02513.JPG

Guys, the backpack is the wat to go. You will look like the Unabomber walking with a hard case.

No-name from China, hence the low price but plastic is thick and durable. Whith minimal clearance I was concerned for potential damage if the case deflects under load but it's stiff enough that I cannot push on the cover enough to do so.

I agree 100% with the backpack option for air or casual travel in public. The only personal use I can think of for the hard case is for vacation or weekend outings in the car. This case would allow you to be less careful and stack things on top without concern.
