Welcome Niels

You will have a big fat grin across your face when you fly it. Whats your experience level ? If this is your first ever RC model then its a good place to start as its a very very clever machine.

I am guessing your a novice to flight so in that vane my tips are:

Wait for low wind speeds - less than 9mph. It can easily fly in those but landing can be harder.
Keep the tail pointing to you at all times.
Don't go far or near to any objects.
Give it full power on take off but as soon as its 6ft off the deck let the left stick fall back to the centre - if your too gentle it might tip over.
Practice forward backwards left and right and take off and landings.
Pick somewhere clean and level to take off and land.
Don't get too involved with the camera on the first flight
Get someone to film it and the look on your face and post it here !

Thats enough to be going on with

all good advice

when you land try and land on grass until your any good, concrete will snap a blade if it catches a breeze and tips

even better get a mate to catch it

have fun.. from Leicester..

  • Update the P2V firmware, mine came last week with 1.0.5 out of the box, had to upgrade to 1.0.8.
  • Read through the threads about lost Phantoms - majority appear to be avoidable.
  • First flight should be in a big open field, football pitch etc.
  • If you feel like you are losing control, just let go of sticks and let it settle, then try again.
  • Mix FPV with visual flying both have their pluses and minuses.
  • If it is windy, do the catch landing.
