Hello Cobs, welcome to the forum. I Metal Detected for about 20 years Cobs and really enjoyed it. I'm not as mobile as I used to be so I don't detect much anymore just fly Drones and aircraft now. That is my main hobby now. I hunted rings and old silver coins in long forgotten swimming lakes and Civil war relic's. I have seen and read about a lot of nice gold and silver finds in English farm lands. Hope you enjoy the forum, people here are willing to help you any way they can. Happy hunting and flying!

Hi Hychewright, your correct mate, lots of goodies to find in UK, i found Treasure in 2013 - the gold Roman ring with stones in my avatar ... oh found that 18ct one also the same week
I havent done any for about a year but was out earlier so will be making more vids again in the coming weeks, sorry to hear you cant get out doing it as much, its a top hobby for sure
