Hero 3 stops recording/locks up

I had that issue a while back and, as mentioned above, found formatting in the camera was a must.

A fast card is also a must and what seems to be the best is the "LEXOR 600X"

They are available on Ebay for as low as $25 for a 32gb and since using that card I have had no problems.

I usually just delete the files from the card after copying to my Mac, without reformatting. Once my new card comes in, I'll give the formatting in the camera method a try.
