Okay call me a sissy but I would rather not solder the pmu and zenmuse wires directly to the power connections on the board. Is there an alternative? Can I cut and splice into the battery cables at the other end? Or maybe splice in a jst connector? Or use a battery tap? Or what about using the auxilary power wires which are unused now? Are they too small gauge to use?

I am more comfortable splicing and soldering wires together (with shrink tubing) than I am soldering directly to the solder points no the board. I feel like I have more leeway to fix bad workmanship that way. As opposed to screwing up the solder points on the board.

Any advice for me on how to provide power to the zenmuse in some safer alternative manner?

Nevermind. I took the plunge and soldered. Thanks youtube.
