Hello - No Quilting for THIS Grandma!

Hey everyone,
That's right, I'm a bit atypical as Grandmas go!
After playing around with a smaller drone (Sharper Image DX-4 video streaming drone) for the past 6 months, I've decided to take the plunge and ordered a low-end DJI (Phantom 3 standard) today. Been reading posts here, and watching DJI videos on the DJI Go app to get oriented. Seems a lot more complicated!! Hopefully it's one of those things that has a 'dummy' mode, but then as you learn and get comfortable, there are more advanced features you can tap into.
I'm in the Pacific NW, so we do have a lot of rain here which limits flying days. But when it's nice, it's NICE!
