yes, also if going north you may get delayed by road flooding, some of our trucks are kept waiting a week or two waiting for roads to be opened again.
Re the south much better option, travel south via the coast road all the way to Esperance and you will find plenty of places to visit, look here at our national parks, you will need a permit get that at any tourist office.
