Decided to pull the trigger on the Phantom 3 Standard. After doing some research and waiting for the price to drop, I was able to get the drone for $441.95 shipped from Amazon. I've decided to do some mods. Just the tablet holder and DBS mod. Also got a cheap bag from eBay. I was able to fit everything in it with minor alterations. Absolutely love this drone.

No doubt such an incredible piece of tech! Enjoy!

Love the black stickers on there, might have to follow your lead on that! I just installed the dbs mod as well and haven't seen much of a difference. Maybe 400 or 500 extra feet. What has your experience been?

Thanks CaptRog!! I've also bought custom decals from DecalGril, but I haven't put it on, yet. I have a lot of interference around my house, so I'v went from 800ft (no mod) to almost 1500 feet (with mod). Near lake smith, I can get roughly around 3.5k-4k feet or more, depending the direction. At the beach, I almost got 2 miles. Here's the video I made.
I was a little disappointed at first, but after testing it at the beach, I was impressed! Find a place with less interference and give it another try.

Awesome video, you were able to get it way out there! How was the signal quality when you turned it around at the bridge? I'm in AZ so no beaches here but I'm planning on going out to the desert in the next day or two to see how it does with next to no interference. Post some pics when you get those decals on!
