HDR Causing Black Screen

If I take a standard picture in standard mode I have absolutely no issues. But if I switch to HDR or 3/5 AEB the viewing screen will go completely black for 3-5 seconds and occasionally much much longer. I never lose signal with the bird as far as controls or it functioning the auto RTH. Just screen going completely black for an unreasonable amount of time.

Anyone else having this issue or know what's causing it?

Right, checked that first. And didn't see anything that matched my issue. But, wow, thanks for the clever and thoughtful insight.
