Yeah I admit it's a little odd that you didn't get the same behavior when you had the H3 on it initially. I have the H3 but I can't test mine without the bracket since I don't have the old-style port you have on yours (which holds the camera fairly well even w/o the bracket).

I had pretty much given up on the shapeways bracket anyway, I just happened to notice that recommended fix the other day. I might test it, but it honestly hasn't been a big deal and I leave the camera in the gimbal as much as possible now to reduce plug-unplug cycles on the delicate USB ribbon cable.[/quote]

No, I never touch the gimbal when its powered on.

Good, just checking ;) As long as you're careful I don't think gimbal motion while off is really a wear and tear issue.
