GS and Vortex Ring of Death?

Hello guys!

I was wondering how the Phantom 2 behaves when doing a mission, and needs to descend. Have u ever suffered from a VRD during a mission? How does the craft deal with losing alttitude and not falling into a VRD? It would be very dangerous if the bird falls when not under your direct control... :shock:

If decending between waypoints it will be following a gradient. When coming down vertically to land it's decent is very slow, less than 2ft/second. I haven't experienced any instability when using the ground station and I'm flying a heavily laden F550 Hex but the gains have been finely tweaked so there is no slop or unwanted oscillations.
