Grren connectio light but motors will not start

Just got my new DJI followed the instructions to a T but the Phantom DJI will not respond to my controller. I have a green light on the Phantom and when i switch modes or power the controller off the Phantom responds with the correct LED flash. I can not start thre motors and have tried everything please help.......

Do you move the sticks down and towards the center?

yes i have tried everything i can read. getting frustrated seller is also no help.
