May be a silly question but I've just purchased the 3 Polarpro gradient filters.
Is there any particular way they should sit on the gimbal? Eg dark side top or bottom?

Thanks Mike

The dark side should be at the top -- clear at the bottom.

Well, assuming you want to reduce the light coming from the sky, yea, dark at top.
However if you want to knock down bright reflections from water below you, then dark at bottom.

You put the dark area toward the bright part of the scene to bring it down so its not overexposed when you adjust the settings for the rest of the scene. That usually means the sky when you adjust exposure so the ground is properly exposed.
