Ok, so it's made for kids but I was wondering how well this could work for the drone. It doesn't ship until next year, so it won't help me right now. But either way, I was thinking about ordering it.

I came across this because I am looking for a good small tracker. I had a scare the other day when I lost the direction the drone was in over a house, thought it was 1 direction but wasn't. I was 1200' away and luckily I walked the wrong direction to find it and it lost contact, then returned to home. After that, I realized I need to get something right away. I was looking into that Garmin GTU-10 but it is discontinued. Everything else I am coming across is too **** big or heavy.

What is everyone using currently ?

there are lots of china made watch gps already available in the market.

but that kickstarter is good

The Kickstarter is a nifty device. The GPS/Phone unit looks integrated into the wristband. I couldn't find any weight specs. Probably not the best choice for tracking a Phantom.

This looks very promising. Have some preordered.

Interesting but not a good solution for Phantom recovery. It is Bluetooth-based and the range is only 150' max, relying on you (or someone else with the Tile app installed) to come within range. If your Phantom goes down in a remote location the chance of recovery will be very slim.

I backed an idiegogo project called HerO.

I have two coming this summer with 6 months free service. If my 7 and 5 year olds won't wear them on the bird it goes. ..;)
