I have had the top shell of of the Phantom 2 many times install iOSD, FPV and other stuff.

One thing I don't like is the lack of a locking plug on the GPS wire. The plug on the main board looks as if it was meant to mate up with a plug that locks in place with a tab. My plug from the GPS in the top shell is just a standard 3 conductor type servo plug. It does slip in snug but still bothers me that it doesn't lock in place. I use some tape to hold then together just to insure they don't come apart.

For those of you that have taken the shell off, which I would assume is everyone, is your plug like this or does it lock in place? Anybody else do anything different that tape?

It will probably never come loose but why chance it?

Mine is the same, I used a DAB of silicone,
To lock it in ( I installed a flytrex 2 ) and was weary
Of the connection

Note: only a DAB, do not use a lot, little goes a long way!

Take care, Fly safe!

Difficult to describe but I added a small piece of tape to one side of the plug to create mechanical resistance.

I bet they did it expecting people to yank the top cover off.
