Pretty much everything hinges on having a good dependable GPS. That being said whats the best brand kind to use and is it really worth the time money and effort?

Thanks Duke

You could change the 2mm ceramic antenna for a 4mm with a higher gain there not expensive under $10 with shipping. There are allot of opinions on whether it's worth changing. Then there are those who swear by adding aluminum foil over the GPS module to gain more satellites. Check this site:

Wow thanks Jason, says I should be able to get between 10 and 11 But I normally see 8 And that's with some High Speed Aluminum Foil Face Duct Tape UNDER it. ;)

Thanks, I have a 4mm Jobbie on its way. Now if I don't buck it up soldering it in. I should be in pretty good shape. I have watched a couple videos on the Install and read a couple "HOW TOO'S" so I will give it a whirl and report results.

Thanks ~Duke

I reported the results on another post but I am proud to report that the GPS upgrade went well. Other than the 4mm upgrade puck I installed a copper foil shield. With that I am pulling in 12 sats, and acquiring them much quicker.
