Gopro photos poor quality

Excuse me if this has been covered in the past but has anyone had good results from the GoPro when taking photos.
I'm really disappointed with the quality of my photos, I know they are not going to be amazing, but should be printable and not really grainy.
If anyone has had good results could you please share your Settings,thanks.

Are you using the simultaneous video/photo mode? This resuts in a lower quality photo. Im not sure what control you have over these things but can you bump up the iso? This may help.

I use a Hero 2, 11 MP, time lapse. There aren't any waterfalls or beautiful mountains here in Tampa, the landscape is pretty boring, but I think this picture will show you the good quality that a GoPro can produce. And this picture has already been cropped.
