I have been updating firmware and calibrating. Is it normal for the back of the GoPro to be hot during an extended period of power on while on the bench? I had the camera on and in simultaneous video photo mode (I had pushed the shutter button by mistake and not noticed for 15+ minutes). It was really hot to the touch, not just warm. Should I be concerned?

Yes...you should be very concerned....and the best thing at this point would be for you to send it to me immediately...UPS will be best....!!
[Grins}......it's NOT unusual for camera sensors or screens to become pretty warm after extended use. Without touching it, it would be hard for me to say if I thought there was anything to really worry about....15 mins is a fairly long time to have active power on a photo device, many of them have an automatic shut down if the temp rises to a danger point...
Still...it would not hurt to send it to me ......!!!
