I'm going to include Find My Phantom Vision in my pre flight checks from now on, because my last flight had about 1/2 mile difference between the blue dot and red pin, so obviously I hadn't got my home location recorded before flight. I want to see red on blue before I fly next time.

I agree, DJI needs to step up the programming!

Really? I would think that waiting until you get full satellite lock and the associated signal lights to confirm the aircraft knows where it is seems like a pretty finished bit of programming to me. If you take off without a home position lock when you could have got one that's pilot error, not programming error...
