How well does it work for keeping the props on? That's what the OP is asking about.

As you know, It is a props on case virtually identical to your case but without the acrylic dowels to keep the props from spinning.

You might call me a skeptic, but I don't like anything resting on my props.

I agree. I don't think I want anything resting on my props or bouncing on them. I have to think that even a slight warp on a prop could affect the aerodynamics and lift.

Guys, the acrylic dowels are only there to keep the props aligned so you don't try closing the lid when they could be in the way. They contribute very little to keeping the egg shell foam from contacting the outer length of the prop blade. The egg shell foam does not fall out of the top when closed, it is a tight fit. On my Tradecraft case, there is absolutely no evidence of blade deflection when the case is closed. However, like you guys, I'm no fan of taking chances so when the phantom is sitting with its props on in either of its cases (Tradecraft or DJI hard backpack) and not traveling, I simply leave the top open.
