Go Pro Camera Control

Why couldn't one buy a Phantom Vision. Put the camera in mothballs. Install a Go Pro Hero 3+ Black. Then they could control the camera without interference.

Maybe I missed something. I don't mind starting the camera before flight. I would like to control the camera shutter. I would like the video streamed to my iPhone instead of 500 buck fat shark.

It is what it is. The Vision is a proprietary camera and FPV system which makes it completely turn key and gives it unique capabilities but it is arguably not as capable in other respects. As with many things like this, there is a trade-off.
