Go ahead and order this one also: http://bit.ly/1rJdfVk or this http://bit.ly/1lPIsy8The phantom's jack cable for the camera is too short for the gimbal to function. That being said, the gimbal itself works very fine after doing the calibration. There is a few custom servo cables and some other plugs in the package. I imagine they are for 7th channel and direct power supply from naza-module, but I haven't figured out how to connect those yet.

Anyway a lot of value for the low cost. Please report if you are able to get 7th channel and direct power supply to work before me :)

Is this gimbal easy to install on the vision (plug and play) or has soldering be done??

I just got my gimbal shipped.

I knew about the problems with jack, but thanks for the tip anyway ; ).

Gonna try to assemble it today and report back to you guys.

I am worried about the channel 7 though, cause the board is different then the other gimbals from goodluckbuy I'v seen tutorials on.

Well I am almost done. Everything seems to work fine, but I am still waiting for the jack extension.

I have soldered the gimbal to the phantoms board, however the cables were to short so I needed find some extensions for it.

The pitch control seems to only be possible with the Vision app, but I found some information here:

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7973

about the possibility to change that with this app:

Can't wait to test it in air.

I'm also still waiting for that 4-pole jack extension. What settings did you use in SimpleBCG software for getting it to work properly? I copied some other peoples settings, but it seems not to work optimal. According to that german who made the 1-hour youtobe video on how to properly set the settings said it would be a bit individual. Mine has some jittering up and down sometimes, and I have not found the appropriate setting to get rid of it yet. Could you please post your settings if you have achieved to make it totally stable?

Edit: A video of the issue:

Best reg.

I also had a problem with pitch, but it looked somewhat different then yours. I am gonna upload my settings later today.

Edit:

So my PID right now is:
ROLL POWER: 120
PITCH POWER: 80
ROLL: P: 12, I: 0.14, D: 20
PITCH: P: 12, I: 0, D: 20

When I set "I" for pitch it overcorrects and I don't understand why. Without "I" though if I push the camera it stays in that position.
