We are experiencing strange issue with new H3-3d (which is bundled with Phantom 2 v2). The gimbal randomly tilts downwards, and then immediately returns to the previous position. It happens several times per minute and is not related to chosen tilt position (via X1)

This problem affects only tilt axis, so it looks like the gimbal does not completely reset itself (in which case it would also propably roll to either side).

Issue occurs only when flying (but no high speed manoeuvres needed). we have already tried to recalibrate the radio X1 axis, and also have added washers to prevent gimbal from touching the battery (this unit also suffered from that issue). We do not have the interference board which hopefully will be sent to us by the dealer later.

See video here (happens at 00:01 and 00:14) http://phantom.pic.fi/gallery/H3-3d/media.mp4

Any ideas?

Hi,

Yes, these issues may be related. On that youtube-video it looks like roll axis has issues, and on our copter we have the problem only with the tilt (vertical) axis.

If I understood correctly, the anti-interference board is required to reduce jello effect from the video caused by some electric interference but as we have so little information so far, it is of course possible that it will fix this gimbal reset issue too.
