Gimbal for non GoPro cameras

The H3-3D is 'balanced' for the GP3 camera weight, but that doesn't mean you can't make a lighter camera work with it, though at that point you may as well just use the GP3 as no weight has been saved at all to make the lighter camera work with it, catch-22. You'd also have to deal with some way of mounting it to the H3-3D since the bracket is both designed for the GP3 and complete crap as it breaks whenever it feels like it.

If you're only after tilt, the H3-2D is less than half of what the H3-3D costs, though again it's setup for a GP3's weight, but would have 1 less motor and would be lighter overall after another camera was mounted.

There are loads of Gimbals around, more than I'd guess anyone has tested or compared to each other, so you should be able to find something that will fit the bill. Might want to start with looking for a Gimbal with the camera you have in mind (i.e. Google Gimbal and your preferred camera) since that weight is a factor in how the Gimbal should be setup both for the mounting design and weight distribution.
