My gains settings were as follows:

Basic Gain: Pitch: 120 Roll: 120 Yaw: 120 Vertical: 200
Attit Gain: Pitch: 220 Roll: 220

I then hit the default button and it changed to the following:

Basic Gain: Pitch: 125 Roll: 125 Yaw: 120 Vertical: 140
Attit Gain: Pitch: 260 Roll: 260

As I do not have much knowledge about gains, can someone please help me explain few things?

Why did my gains change so much when I hit default?

Are my gains better now than before?

I have a Phantom 2, H3-3D, Gopro 3, Boscam TS352 500mW, iOSD mini mounted, FWIW.

All inputs and explanations shall be highly appreciated.

I took it for hover and flight test. It does seem more stable and has less vibration.

No ill effects noticed from defaulting the gains.

I'm running the defaults from latest firmware, p2 is loaded a little more than you since I also have tk102 tracker with 3d printed bracket. It seems real stable for me, but I also threw on a set of 9450 props.

I have 9450 props on order. So I assume the default gains should still be fine then.

There are some good articles on gain. I have a stock P2V+ and I tune my gain value pretty high. It's now very responsive like a sports car. :) If you want a velvet smooth video, you may want to lower from the default gain values.

I find these articles on gain useful:
