I was perusing the flytrex site yesterday and came across this video featuring the CEO on stage:

http://www.wired.co.uk/article/yariv-bash-flytrex-wired-retail-2015

If you shoot ahead to the five min 25 sec mark, he seems to be proposing a solution to the mapping of drone flight, which is obviously a very complex problem. He seems to be saying that hobbyists should fly from specific areas, and the rest of the world would be reserved for commercial use. Hobbyists would not be able to fly in the vast majority of the world, regardless of the height, if I'm reading this correctly.

He also states that all drones should eventually fly autonomously via "the cloud system" to be safe.

So this may be an explanation why flytrex seems to be ignoring their Live 3G device. No hobbyist would need it under the CEO's proposal, and promoting it would only work against his proposal above, since the Live 3G is generally most beneficial to distance flying.

...

Sidenote: Fytrex finally got off their butts and fixed their distance screen - removing the idiot who had the 38,000 mile flight or whatever that's been sitting in the number one spot for the past six months.
