For those of you who can handle a magazine without many photos, The Economist has an interesting article about robots in their newest issue. Its a long article but very interesting. They do cover drone journalism and present a lot of nice information.

We are going to reach a point where robots control everything. I already have a robot that vacuums my floors, another that mops them, a robot in my pool that cleans it, my thermostat is controlled from my iPhone, my landscaping lighting is digitally controlled, my fish tank cleans itself and the dogs food and water bowls are automatically filled. Some people claim it will never happen but I think we are already very close to seeing it.
I know this is really a fun post and it doesn't have photos of cool stickers on a phantom or a video link of a phantom smashing into a bird, but if you understand the technology and the future, you are able to appreciate what goes into it and minds behind it.
