Futaba FG8-Which cannel to use for retractable landing gear?

Hello all. I have the Phantom 2 with Futaba FG8 and the R6208SB receiver. I'm looking to connect a set of RETRAX retractable landing gear. The twin servos connect in a Y cable that attaches to one channel on the receiver. Can't figure out the best channel (considering failsafe having landing gear come down) to use and how to program the transmitter. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

since I think thats only a 8-channel TX, the only free channels are 5 and 8,. . and with 5 being used for Gimbal tilt/X1 gain control, your only practical choice is probably Channel 8.

Can the Futaba receiver lower the "gear" if it loses connection or goes to autoland - that would be cool..?

Yes....it can be set up to auto lower the landing gear on low battery return home or on losing connection with the phantom.

Now if I can only figure out how to program channel 8 on my Futaba!!!!
