    Hi,

Does anyone know if I could use the Samsung MV800 for fpv? It has the same mini hdmi and usb ports as the gopro. Would the usb to fatshark transmitter cable sold for the gopro work with this camera?

    Thanks,

    Dee.

It'll only work if that camera puts out video on the USB connection (not just data for file transfers). You can't use the mini HDMI port with the FPV setup.

I found the manual. There is a usb to av cable available for the camera for connecting to tv. But it says the camera will switch to playback when connected to tv. I'm guessing that's only for viewing whats stored. Is there a way round that ?

    Cheers,

    Dee.

I can't say for sure, just depends on whether the camera also does a live view over that output when not actively playing a stored file. If the manual isn't clear about it, I'd say just get the USB-A/V cable and test. If you can see live vid from the camera on your TV with that, then the gopro cable for FPS should do what you need.
