Hi Everyone,

I have a phantom 1 and am planning on getting a fpv system for it very soon.

The setup I am considering is the fatshark attitude v2 goggles and the 5.8ghz transmitter. I am planning on using that with my gopro 3 black.

Questions:

If wired to the mini usb port on the gopro can I concurrently see the video and record video? Or is it one or the other. I was a bit confused when I saw fatshark came with its own camera...

Does anyone have a review on this setup? Or can they point me to a good review?

Would you consider another fpv?

You need one of these cables: http://www.readymaderc.com/store/index. ... ts_id=1296

I have the same setup and there are no issues recording (1080p-60) and viewing simultaneously with the Hero3. Most people power their gimbals via the balance lead on the battery (since they draw way more power than the FPV tx) and then solder the tx to the auxiliary leads that come out of the Phantom. You'll just need these two cables to do that:

And here is a video showing how to solder the exact setup listed above to the aux leads. Starts at 11 minute mark: http://youtu.be/KzpT_A9K-18?t=11m1s

Edit: You'll also want to snip the red wire on the Hero3 camera cable I linked if you power it with the auxiliary leads, otherwise the GoPro will continuously charge itself off of your Phantom's battery greatly reducing flight time.

I have this exact same setup.

I have flown with the camera that comes with the Attitude V2kit and looks fantastic, had to remove it in order to reduce weight and now fly with my Gopro H3+ and the feed is as good as with the TLV600. By using the go pro I also have the benefit of looking at what I am actually recording and because I have a gimbal I can tilt my view down anytime.

If you want to use your go pro instead of the stock camera you need to buy a cable that is available pretty much everywhere. The one I bought did not come with the right connector but the Kit you have comes with an extra connector that you can use. Also, the wiring comes explain in the manual so it is easy to do.

My only suggestion is to buy spironet antennas. With the stock antennas I was not getting much range, with the spironets I am passing 3300ft and my connection is pretty good.

Hope this helps.

thanks all for the input. I just placed my order.

About the antennae, do you have a link for the one I should buy?
