    Hello,
I am using a a Boscom RX-LCD5802 with a Boscom TX58-800 Transmitter on a Phantom 2. I am using Fat Shark antennas on for both and I am still getting consistent static when I fly. The underlying picture is ok, but the static is overlayed in horizontal lines over the picture. Also I notice at times the picture almost fades out to white and then back again to the regular rich color. Not sure what is the issue here, whether it is a faulty monitor, bad/weak antennas, or channel setting?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks

Have you cycled thru the combination of channels on both the Boscam LCD and Transmitter?

I have, and didn't seem to find one that stood out..

Is there a methodology as to why one would be better than the other or is it just random?

I think it's dependent on where you are and what interferences are around you. For my transmitter it's channel 1 or A and on my boscam it's A as well.

I haven't read much about the 800mw. That sounds massive. I use an immersionrc 600mw and I have decent luck.

Some channels actually broadcast at a higher wattage than others on the same transmitter if you can believe that. Check this chart. I'm using ch4 on my transmitter at the moment.

I have the same Boscam monitor/receiver as you only I'm using the Boscam TS353 400mW transmitter on my hex. Using the stock rubber ducky antenna on the transmitter and a helical axial antenna on the receiver I'm able to get crystal clear video at 1000 meters. Will be adding a Blue Beam Ultra Clover-Leaf/Skew Planar Video Antenna to the transmitter this weekend and I'm expecting to seriously increase that distance if my Futaba 8FGHS is up to the task.
