How stupid is it that this forum will allow you to click "Reply" or "Quote" and type out a long response only to notify you when you click "Post" that the conversation has been closed and your message can not be posted?

Shouldn't that notification come when your first click the "Reply" button? Or the button itself should disappear or become greyed out when a thread is closed!

This forum owes me half an hour!!!
