Today I tried to test the follow me mode and it kept saying the drone was too far away. No matter how close I got it to me it would say the same thing. Any ideas?

Phantom won't follow you? Show it who's boss!
1) Get a length of rope.
2) Tie one end to your Phantom's legs.
3) Tie the other end to your belt.
4) Walk away. Your Phantom WILL follow you.

You need to use a tablet or phone with GPS. No cellular ipads do not have GPS.

So Im having the same issue. I searched for some answers on the DJI forum and found this from a guy named Dave P:
This IS definitely a 3.1.2 bug, the aircraft is not too far away, it's lying. It has happened on all 3 devices I have available to test it on and uninstalling and downloading an earlier apk and installing will resolve it. Oh, and don't forget to stop it updating from the Play Store by switching automatic updates off.
Of course Dji will fix it soon as so many people have complained ;-)

These guys are saying downgrade the DJI app to 3.1.1 or less.

Yea, all that did was download a different app store, which didnt have that version anyway.
