I just realized (at least I think) the Flytrex live taps into the GPS connector with a Y Cable.

I did the GPS foil mod on my P2V+ and made a huge difference. Not sure I would want to go without it now. My GPS was pretty well shielded from DJI except for the cable and I am thinking the RFI is being injected on the cable as much as anything.

So I am concerned about adding more exposed cable inside the Phantom at unknown wavelength.

That GPS cable is not an RF antenna cable. It's a power/serial data cable so RF interference will have no effect on it.

Just because its a serial data cable doesn't mean it cant pick up RF interference that is then be transmitted back to the GPS unit under the shield.

I am reasonably convinced that the success with my GPS mod was by covering the excess cable with foil and not so much adding additional foil over the GPS.
