I've read before others suggest not flying near electric transmission lines. I want to fly over some electric transmission lines probably about 150 feet above or so. I would be flying off the top of a mountain and the electric lines are beneath me and would always be at least 100 ft under me if not more. Is it safe to do this without interference with the phantom 2 controls? These are not the big metal tower transmission lines but pretty heavy duty as they are the only wires bringing electricity into a canyon.

Thanks for any info. I'd like to do this Monday morning. I avoided it today since I wasn't sure it would cause a problem or not.

I have had no issues crossing them. However I have found that when I am making distance runs and they are close to my distance limit that they will effect (limit) my range.

You're fine if you're more than 30 yards away

Found this, really close call, every time I see it, in my mind I go like "stop, stop, stop, no, no, nooo".

Holy crap. Good reason to reset homelock for a higher RTH.

Found this other one, SCARIER!:

From what I have seen, seems like pilots won't get trouble with power lines, unless pl gets between Phantom and RC or going too close.
