Sorry, I must have misunderstood you. You are correct. It's really no so much about the shape , it's about being smooth. Once you start flying longer lenses in lower light , then depth of field can be a problem, but hey, sometimes you have a team of 3 flying- especially when you start flying Red Epic/Dragon cams. In those situations your third man is a focus puller
 
Wish there was need for a focus puller on the GoPro Hero3+ ;)

My favourite training since Day 1, achieving the perfect curve. Don't know about the glasses, but I agree it can only be done through FPV and lots of concentration.
 
Doesn't really matter anyway anymore. Since "Drone's" are now band from National Parks in the US I got screwed out of filming 3 light houses.
