Does this matter? I was imagining a bag of chips swelling in flight, as I've seen many times.

The batteries will be fine, right? Does it matter whether they're at 100% or at 50%?

(I searched around before posting this and couldn't find an answer)

I've been told batteries should be brought to less than 50% for flying as they could explode or catch fire.

50% is the most stable state

And it’s just that much less energy to release should the unthinkable happen midair.
