Flight time is less than it used to be

I used to get about 8 minutes of flight time and now I'm getting just under 5.

I have the original Phantom (purchased June, 2013) with DJI batteries, an ARRIS CM2000 gimbal, and a FatShark transmitter.

I thought their might be an issue with the gimbal or transmitter so I unplugged them and the time was still the same.

Could the batteries just be old? I haven't flown it for 6 months, could that affect anything? Any other tests I could try?

Thanks -- Carey

Just the batteries.
Unless you always store them @ 50% discharge, never over discharge or recharge them when they are warm, their operational life drops dramatically.

The good news is that at least they are easy to come by and fairly cheap to buy. Not something you can say of a P2!!
